Privacy notice

This notice explains what Menty collects through this website, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and how you can see, correct or delete it. We collect very little, so it is short.

Who we are

Menty makes ordering and payment at the table for venues: restaurants, cafés, beach clubs and events. In this notice, “Menty”, “we” and “us” mean the business that runs this website and decides how the details you send us are used.

This notice covers this website only: its pages, the live demo and the Book a demo form. It does not cover the Menty ordering and payment service that venues use with their guests.

What we collect

When you book a demo, we receive what you type into the form:

• your name and phone number;
• your venue's name and area, its number of tables, and the POS it uses;
• the date and time you sent the form.

Please don't put anything else in the form, and in particular nothing about anyone else.

When you browse, we collect nothing ourselves. This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking tools, and it stores nothing in your browser. The live demo is a sample menu: nothing you do in it is sent to us, and no order or payment is made.

Like any website, the services that deliver its pages and files see technical details of each request, such as your IP address and browser type.

On the Book a demo page, a short security check by our hosting provider confirms that a person, not a program, is sending the form. It reads technical details such as your IP address and browser for that check only. It does not see what you type into the form.

Why we use it

We use your booking details for one purpose: to contact you about your demo by phone or WhatsApp, to arrange it, to check whether Menty can connect to your POS, and to follow up afterwards. We use them because you asked us to get in touch.

We do not sell your details, rent them, share them with other venues, or use them for unrelated marketing. If you tell us to stop contacting you, we stop.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run this website: to host its pages, to supply its fonts and files, to run the security check on the Book a demo form, and to store the details you send through it. Each one handles only what it needs to do its job, and only our team can see your booking details.

We may also share details where the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a court or a public authority.

Where it is stored

Some of our service providers store and process data outside Lebanon. Wherever your details are held, we expect them to be protected in line with this notice.

How long we keep it

• If we don't end up working together, we delete your booking details 12 months after our last contact with you.
• If your venue becomes a Menty customer, we keep your contact details for as long as we work together, and delete them 12 months after it ends, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
• If you ask us to delete them sooner, we do, within 10 days.

How we protect it

Your details are kept in an access-controlled account that only our team can open, and they travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is little to lose, and we would tell you promptly if your details were ever exposed.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what details we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your details;
• stop contacting you.

How to ask: reply to any message from our team, or send the form on our Book a demo page with “Privacy request” in the venue name field and the phone number you used before. We may ask you to confirm it is you, and we answer within 10 days.

Children

This website is for venue owners and managers. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect details from them.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page. If a change affects details you have already sent us, we will tell you before it applies.
